Map sensor location ?

Hi all , check engine light came on. code P0107 =
manifold absolute pressure / barometric pressure circit low imput.

Is the MAP sensor located low behind the intercooler on the pipeing ?

Thanks for any info. A search did'nt help much as far as it's whereabouts.

One is in the pipe you pointed out is the hard one to find. The other is in the intake right on top. You should see it very easy.

Look up the on line instructions on the Turbo upgrade kit. It has photo's. http://www.gmpartshouse.com/products...structions.pdf

Do you have the gm stage kit?

If you do, it's most likely the wiring.

If not, it would seem like one of the sensors is dirty or failing, but check the wiring on the lower sensor. I can send you my stock sensors if you want to try that.

No stage kit , The wires seem all right on the MAP and MAF . I took the MAF out of the intake tube to get a look at it , It was clean like new at 56,000. The MAP looks pretty hard to get to. Just located it after checkin hypers link (thank you) . So i'll get a better look at it tomarrow.
The cars running fine at medium driving, but when you get on it the boost will drop, and the psi levels are changing around. ?

The maf should be ok, since the code is for the map sensor. The upper map (manifold absolute pressure) is in the intake manifold, not the intake. The lower tmap (temperature + map) is in the cold side pipe and it's harder to get to but you can get to it from below. I believe either sensor will throw the same code, I could be wrong on that part though.

I can send you my sensors and you can try them out. If there is no change send them back. If it fixes the problem, you can keep them.

a guy at o'riellys parts let me check for the code ( he said they can't do it anymore, but they let you do it. ) but i did,nt know i could reset it after seeing the code P0107 . When i got home , I did remove the battery to reset the computer and the check engine light went back on within a min. ?

You should be able to clear all cel's with the scanner.

If you have the parts to go back to a completely factory intake I would try that and clear the code and see if it comes back.
