I've had my map sensor replaced 3 times, on my fourth right now. every time mine went out, it was out, no boost being read at all and had the same code. the first time they replaced my pcm and my map sensor, only had the car since july 1 of 09 and its had about 40k put on it since.

1panel2nv, you interested in selling your stock maps at all? I've been thinking of picking up a backup or 2.

If you remove the MAP sensor, check the condition of the O-ring and also be sure there are no interferences that prevent the MAP from seating correctly. You may simply have an air leak at the sensor connection point because the bolt loosened up. The bolt is supposed to be loctited into position.

1Panel2NV saves the day. Thank You my friend .

My map sensor thats on top of the manifold was shot at 56,000 miles, Looking inside the hole it was cloudy and dirty.
I also noticed that there was dirt between the manifold and the sensor (suckin dirt) Something for you SS guys to check. Looks like you have to remove that plastic tube thing to get it out, You do not , It slides under once you remove the bolts. It looked like a dirt gasket under there and it should have been virgin aluminum.

sounds good, I've had my upper map replaced 3 times, on my fourth now. I think I may have messed up an o ring or not seated my lower properly the other day when installing my ic piping. I throw a p0106 code often on my high boost tune in 3rd if I stay in it close to redline from 55... it might be a tune issue which is getting reflashed when I can get to my trifecta dealer..
