Yikes! Sorry to hear this. Mine has 16K and hasn't been any trouble.
How did you know the front bushings were shot? Mine has recently developed a slight "clunk" when changing from forward to reverse or vice versa (5speed) I've thought about taking it in.

For those of you with issues, did you extend the factory warranty at all? I've been thinking of doing this.

I have not had any issues at all except for the stupid tire pressure monitor...

When I decided on the HHR SS I bought the 100k/5yr maximum extended warranty. I knew what I could be getting into. So far it's turned out to be a correct assumption. Today my bushings are being replaced too. As well as the return of the boost surge/Limp mode. Love my car but the shop visits are beginning to wear on me.

Constant repairs would send me through the roof too, but I would demand some type of compensation from GM. You will take a beating on getting rid of it.

You got stuck with a lemon, but any car can turn out to be a lemon.

I would hate it too if my problems affected performance of the vehicle, so far im lucky.
Too bad that GM wasnt more careful, their reputation and company are on the line here.

I am truly surprised to hear of all the people on this thread with major problems. I know there are a lot of folks here that have had next to no problems with their SS's.

I took it to the dealer and they told me they were shot. They were replaced today and it's fine now.

I'm going car shopping tomorrow night unless work blows up.

My guess is I'll end up with a Prius like my wife has. with 90% of my driving in the city it's hard to argue with the 45-50 she is getting. While it's not the most "fun" car to drive, I have my Trans Am for that.

No major GM related issues here. Knock on wood.

I had a low tire once and thought about trading it in but changed my mind. Just kidding.

To be honest this has been one of the better GM new cars I have has along with the BU.

All my issues were TSB related or from my accident and were all right after I got it back.

My car will "DING" for no reason when I drive it down the road??? I KNOW it's related to the wiring harness issue but honestly, I don't want to be the tech that has to find that!

I do enough of that with software. It really is to bad because the car is an f'in blast to drive. It's just "driven" me to the edge.
