oil leak

I think i have an oil from the standard transmission. I was wondering if there is a place where you can check the transmission fluid. I have a 2008 HHR SS with 5 speed manual transmission

Skyline: Why the picture of an automatic trans when the OP clearly stated he has a standard transmission ???
No need to confuse things.

The link you posted might help but it is for the non SS 5 speed transmission.

Not even close.

Here's a drawing of the SS 5 speed(MU3) drain and fill ports.

Well, look what I found.
This is a picture of my SS 5 speed, looking into the left wheel well.
Shows where the drain and fill ports are. (yellow circles)

oil leak

Thanks I'll check it out. When I take out the fill plug should fluid come out if it is full. When adding fluid should I fill until fluid starts coming out?

FYI:The SS 5 speed trans.(MU3) only holds 2 qts of fluid. It does NOT use automatic trans. fluid like the regular HHR 5 speeds do.

Per the owners manual: Manual
Transmission
(2.0L L4
engine)
Manual Transmission Fluid
(GM Part No. U.S. 88862472,
in Canada 88862473).

The oil leak is pretty unlikely to be coming from the transmission itself unless maintenance was recently done on it. The leak is far more likely to be hydraulic fluid from the clutch slave cylinder or an engine main seal. Might be useful to post some photos of your leak.
