Hi guys,

I hate to make my first post an issue with my car, unfortunately, those are the cards I was dealt. Anyways. So I have been getting this P2187 code. It doesn't trip the CEL but it does limit my boost and throttle response. When the ecm reads this trouble code I can't go above 10-12 psi. I have a ZZP catless downpipe, k&n intake and just recently have had the gms1 done. I didn't have any issues prior to the stage kit. I've been having this issue since I did the stage kit. I double checked the seals on the kit and made sure everything is solid. I'm not finding anything there. I can usually reset it with my code scanner and the car will run for about a day and then go back into its limp mode. I'm at a loss. I checked the intake to make sure it wasn't that and it wasn't. The catless downpipe and intake I had on the car for a week before putting the stage kit on. I was considering calling the dealership to see maybe there was something wrong with the tune. P2187 - System Too Lean at Idle Bank 1

The SS guys will weigh in here soon I'm sure, but the first two things that came to mind are that maybe the ECM needs reflashed, or your MAF may be faulty or need cleaned.

Thanks for the search function idea. I have already tried that and not many threads had a resolution.

 

If you're running a catless DP, then you may have to get a tune for it. The turbo upgrade or Stage 1 kit is designed around a stock setup. Running the mods you are, sounds like it may be time for a tune.
One of our site SS experts can probably tell you more.

 

Consider looking at the flex pipe for a hole.
