Wish me luck...

Dropped my SS off today for an oil change and to also get a little check up because the CEL light popped on yesterday.

I've already upgraded my hotside charge piping and intercooler. Really hoping that the CEL issue doesn't have to do with either of those because I know they wont cover it under my extended warranty. If it is either of those I'm hoping it's just a loose connection or something and they can clear the code for me and I can tighten the connection myself. Although, ever since I installed the charge pipes, my turbo now makes a whining sound under full boost. Much like the sound of a supercharger. I'm really hoping that I don't have an issue there.

Also, mini-rant, what's the point of making an appt. when they tell you it's going to be a few hours. That always pisses me off.

That whistle is a leak, Mine did that too, cause the turbo guy's told me not to crush the aluminum with the t-clamp. My leak was on the bottom connection to the inter cooler. Still be careful not to crush the pipe.

Very very true!!! Happens often specially if you have the higher quality clamps

I'll do a leak test then on the charge piping. This morning it seemed to only get up to about 13lbs of boost so that would make the most sense!

Dealer called, CEL was from the clutch sensor again. Im starting to think i might be bad

Use a small box end and give the connections a few turns, mine all needed a few turns after I ran it a while. You will feel it if they are tight already. Did you use t-bolts, and did you keep the factory one with the spring at the turbo??

No I used the ones tbolts that came with the Dejon kit. On the way home I was hitting 15-16lbs so I dont think its enough of a leak to lose boost. I might not have been fully warmed up this morning.

Its not a whistle though, its a whine. And its coming from up by the turbo. I did take a peek under the hood at all of the silicone connectors today though and one of the connections looked like it had moved on the pipe. The elbow that runs from the turbo to the longer tube that runs across the engine.

Ill try adjusting it tomorrow and see if that helps
