My 2008 HHR came with 16" wheels and 215/55x16 tires. These absolutely suck in the snow and winter driving conditions! Great when dry, tho.

Anyway, has anyone else switched to 15" rims? There's a much wider selection of ice and snow tires for the 15s. What tire size in 15s is comparable to the 215-55x16s?

I used the tire calculator and these are the closet matches to your 16's
205/65/15 is .7% too slow when your speedo reads 60 your traveling 60.4
185/70/15 is .5% too fast when your speedo reads 60 your traveling 59.7 mph
