G6 Rims or Hubcaps?-Compare Which is better
Must make a decision. G6 Rims or existing hubcaps. My kids think the G6 rims make the HHR smaller looking compared to the beefy hubcaps.

Now that I know the G6 rims are a direct fit... They are 17", quick photo shop crappy scan below. Do they make the HHR look smaller cause they are 16s? What do you think-please give an honest answer-even though I could get them cheap from my coworker (2009 GT rims with Falkens (don't rmember model but tires used for about 10,000 with TPSs) I don't want to regret it months later. Thanks for your honesty... First Pic is with Photo Chop, Second Pic is with existing hubcaps. Which looks better?

I run 16's and love them on my 2LT, (comes with the 17" polished) different wheels though and I'm going for an old school look, but the ride and handling are excellent too. I doubt you would "regret" having them on there. Especially if the price is right.......

I can't really afford them either but the price is cheap because my coworker doesn't want to store them when he puts his new rims on. Otherwise I would just be using the hubcaps. He might let me use them for a day to see how I like them. That way I will know for sure if they look good to me or not. My kids still think they will make the HHR look smaller, and if they don't seem to like them (2 girls) most likely my wife won't either-but its worth a shot to try them on.

Well gave em a shot. Put them on and didn't really like them. Made the HHR look smaller. Neighbors came over said the same thing without me saying anything. They like the look of the hub caps instead + the hubcaps cover the stupid drums which stood out real bad. Would have to buy dust covers to hide them. Also came within 3/8 of an inch of the inner rear wheel well where the well sticks out slightly for whatever reason. Same with front turning radius-about 3/8 from hitting the front wheel well and this was with no weight in the car and with a LS suspension. Too worried about rubbing and having an issue with the family HHR-would never here the end of it.
Anyway some final info-they were 2009 Pontiac G6 GT 5 spoke cast rims (with the little dimples at the end of the spokes where it meets the outer rim). 5x110 17" x 7 with Falken Ziex ZE-912 225/55 x 17" with only 10,000 mile of use, all lug nuts, + the TPSs for only $400 bucks. Don't have the cash to buy different rubber to make more of a clearance. DOH!
My buddy got the higher level G6 18" rims powder coated Black, new lugs, brand new TPSs & rubber to replace what he took off. Was afraid to ask him how much he spent. They look great on his G6 GT which is a dark grey. He will be taking all badges off with the exception of the Pontiac Triangles...
