20s on my wish list

I have a LONG wish list, but some 20 inch rims are near the top. Will only gain .85 total diameter so fitment should not be a problem when going to low profile tires (225/30R20) Since my LT is black I like the chrome/black combo:

Ohhhh, nice! Black wheels on black paint will rock your HHR! And the wheels have just enough silver accent to set it off without over powering the body details of the vehicle.

Very nice I would like them even better if the Chrome didn't come all the way out to the outer lip of the rim.

Back in the summer I ordered 18" Forte wheels that were listed for my 09 HHR from on line dealer. Put wheels on and went to take a cruise and heard a loud squeal. Much to my surprise the front wheel backing plates were scraping the front calipers. The company was great about taking wheels back though they swore they should have fit my LS. I called them back because after a few weeks that wheel was still listed for HHR. They finally took it off their list. Your selection looks good, but just want to give you a heads up.

Im thinking about twenties as well for my SS. Twenty inch rims and decent tires cost as much as the stock tires all around. Cant wait to see what those look like on your ride man.

Though I like as much chrome as possible. I feel like the Rap videos have really hurt the wheel industry. Don't get me wrong I love Hip-Hop, but riding on rubberbands is like sitting on a time bomb. It's only a matter of time before you crack a rim. The 18"s on the SS are plenty big in my opinion. But if you have the ching to replace, good for you.

20s will sure look cool but, keep in mind that by going up 3-in in wheel diameter but only .85" in overall diameter means your going to tries with more than 2" less section height. That also will look cool but expect a noticeable increase in noise and ride harshness due to the very low profile tires.

Also, 20" wheels will have significantly more unsprung weight and that will increase wheel bearing wear.

Hi,
I drive 20" Corniche Zwinger with 225/30 and it is harder to drive but it's OK for me (see my pictures) Summer 2010 I will lower my HHR (Eibach Springs) my Dealer have them in his store.
Here in Germany we have ONLY 2HHR's with 20"
