Help me to deciper this: A 255x40x18 will fit under my Pedder lowered SS? Right?
Doing some track work[roundy round] I need the biggest tire I can fit, to control the major wheelspin I get at the hit. Running stock tire, but need bigger, stickier rubber. "Moon"

Moon, If I remember right the wheels you have are 38 offset. These would fit because they run narrow, I pumped them up to 39lbs cold and they cornered like a race car, the sidewall says 51lbs max so they could be firmed up even more. I'm happy with them here but it rains so much, I need the all season compound and of course that, sacrifices the dry traction. Robb is running 265x35 nitto 555 with pedders and a 40 offset 8" wheel. As sunny as it is down there, I would try the 555 in 255x40. You might ask him how the traction is on them, hes making lots of power. Best thing to do is try the tire you like on the front, but check the back too, I have a finger tip room left before the liner in the back, so it's worth the time to check. Finally met John via email the hardcore is on the way, nice guy, he's making me a blue one, go figure ??

Oh yea deciphered........YES
