I have these same covers, the paint is thin and primer showing. Need to paint them but not sure how black would look on my silver hhr. The stock color doesn't do much for me either.

This is chefhhr's wagon. Same color combo. He bought aftermarket rims, but same color concept as your looking for. I like the silver and black look.
