They seem ok to me but only if the road is dry and bare. Ice, snow, and rain make traction horrible. I will probably replace them next fall to get ready for winter.

they are a long lasting ALL SEASON tire, and that's their only good quality.

they are horrible in the snow and their wet road properties are also some of the worst I've ever experienced. Lots of tire spin.

If anyone that thinks otherwise, I would love to hear what tires they have used that were worse. I'm sure the responses will be in the minority.

If the OP is asking the question, then he must not be happy with them. So if people are going to give suggestions, they should make sure they give feedback on similiar tires. It will do the OP no good if people tell him about great summer tires, or strictly snow tires.

Have to compare apples to apples here

Mine went all of 15 miles from the dealer to the tire shop where they were replaced with new Goodyear Assurance and 4 American Racing chrome wheels. I plan to use the original steelies and tires for winter so I hope they are at least OK in snow. We'll see later this year I guess but Firestone in general are terrible tires - I usually refuse to accept them even on new vehicles since I had serious blow out issues with some that came as OEM on my 1973 Corvette. I've had dealers remove them ever since on new cars but decided to risk these as the reputation isn't bad.

Wasn't impressed with their performance on wet roads. They made the HHR seem really unstable on very wet roads. I replaced them with Michelin Hydro Edge's which solved that problem.

63000 miles changed to the Goodyear Assurance Comfortred Touring tires 85000mile warranty. Front pads have about 5000 more miles before they need to be changed will get the pads soon Hope to have good luck with tires.

I think you will be happy with the Assurance tires. I have used the Triple Treads on my SS in the winter and the HHR has plowed through the snow like a tank. Wet traction has been like even better. I have used these also on the wifes GTP and they have been great. They are one of the best tires on the market today.

This is the tire that is leading the change on most of Goodyears tires. They have invest a lot in development over the last few years and their new tires are showing it has paid off. It litterally has truned them around. They will soon be rid of the trast like the RSA Eagles etc.

One thing about the Comfort Treads they hold 51 PSI. Wifes Michilin Hydroedge hold 44 PSI I like running tires with more than the 30 pounds recommended.
