OK so I'm not in any major type rush but... I'm thinking of getting a set of new rims for the SS come Springtime. Now I have one of two options in mind. I'd like to either get a set of flat black rims OR a set of gold-colored rims. Something like the TSW Snetterton(?) wheel (mesh look, semi deep dish look) is what I have in mind for now though that might change by then lol. I'm looking to go with a 19" (hopefully lightweight!) rim most likely and my SS is VR as you can see in my sig. I plan on also getting either Fall Edition headlights, or having a proper retro HID setup w/ blacked out housings by then too. In your opinions, what would look better? I haven't seen any SS' with gold wheels yet so I may lean that way but your opinions are welcome!

Thanks Hillsdale! Can anyone do a photoshop of gold wheels on a red SS?

I may be biased but I really like chrome, I think the gold is more of a rally look.

 

I personally have never liked gold rims so I vote black.

 

I think a set of painted, not anodized like the photo shop job, wouldlook very good with the red. I had a white car with gold Enkies and really liked the look.
Just my humble opinion....

 

Black wheels with a chrome outer ring will look very nice.

To see what wheels will look like on your HHR, go to www.tirerack.com. Determine your wheel size, select the wheel, select the size in the lower left corner, then when the drop down page appears, select "View On Vehicle." When the image comes up, go to the top left drop down box and select the color of the HHR you want. It's pretty cool. I did a couple for you so you can see it:

 

The stock ones look much better than either IHMO!

A red car NEEDS chrome wheels!......

 

The pictures are just to give him an idea of what he will see when he picks wheels. Personally...I think 1968 Chevy Rallye wheels would look great on his SS.
