Nitrogen Filled Tires

re
plenty of hhr's running around without nitrogen and no issues with sensors - the tires are oem with O2 as chevy mgr said - the heat issue doesnt hold much water either (forgive the pun) - south florida road temps are well over 100 degrees - it a personal choice thing - you can think its a benefit if it makes you feel good but the fact is on a street car under normal driving conditions it's a waste of money if your paying for it - save your money and change your oil

Interesting the seeming passion that this thread has stirred up! I tend to agree that I wouldn't pay much if anything to get nitrogen inflation of my tires but, as has been the case, it comes for free on my new vehicle and my preferred tire vendor uses it as part of their standard set up at no additional charge why not take it? It does seem that I've had to add air/nitrogen far less often since they started offering that bur maybe it is just the newer/better tires - in any case it's worked for me so I'll keep using it.

Why change oil before 20,000 miles? Because you can!
What, someone thinks every 3000 is too frequent now while others feel that 15,000 with a synthetic is slightly pushing it? I can't believe it! Doesn't everyone know you can go 7000 or maybe 10,000 as long it "looks clean?". Sheesh

Yep I know people who claim they can go 100K on an oil change.... why? Cuz the car dealer told them so.....
Then the fool at autozone says you can leave oil in your engine 25 K miles, I told him, YOU leave oil 25K in your eninge, not me.....

In all honesty, I really don't have to add air to my tires very often if ever. Maybe when I get the car out in the spring, but really I check them, and they usually all stay right where they should. Granted I have newer tires, but still...
