Saturn Sky/Pontiac Solstic rims?
I did a few different searches and came up with nothing on this. I know I have seen in someones signature that they had Sky rims on their HHR. My questions is 3 parts. I am thinking of getting some Sky/Solstic Silver(not chrome for a reason as you will find out when you read more) 18x8 rims, I have found conflicting results on the bolt pattern on it, one source said it was 5-110mm and another said 5-112mm. If it is 5-112 is there enough clearance to fit a 5-110 pattern? Second question the senter cap insignia, is it removable to put a chevy insignia on it? Third, I have no experience painting wheels, but I would like to get the silver rims painted to match the body. Is this a feesable option? I have found no after market rims I really care for. Would have like Black Chrome and still would intertain thoughts on that as well. The rims in question are in the links below. I am trying to stay away from bright shiny chrome as my car is dark and I want to stay with a basic color scheme of Black Chrome, Cyber Gray Metallic and Black. Making my own Shadow Edition.

Be cautious about the fitment of aftermarket rims. I found a set of MOMO Winter rims for my HHR - they look like the standard 5 spoke alloy rim. I like them better than the steel rims I had originally. Only thing is the clearance between the back of the rim and the front brake caliper. I can just get a credit card to fit between them. Called the manufacturer and was told that is the way they fit a HHR. No issues so far with rubbing or packing with snow. They actually do really well and are easy to clean. Rims are a hard thing to decide upon.

I'm using after market wheels on my HHR SS made for the Solstice GXP/Sky Redline, they are 5x110 mm. The wheels I have are a 55mm offset, I had to use 15 mm spacers for the front only and extended ARP wheel studs.
Depending on the offset of the factory wheels (if they aren't 55mm), you will probably have to run some type of spacers and/or extended ARP lugs. You will need them for the front only. If my 55mm offset wheels fit under the back of my HHR SS without spacers or extended studs, you shouldn't have no problems with any wheels 55mm or less offset on the rear.
I'm on the factory ride height, if your HHR SS is lowered you might need spacers and studs for the back also.

I just put a set of Solstice wheels on my car. I am running a 225/45 r 18 tire on them. I had to grind a lil bit off of the bracket on the strut that the sway bar linkage bolts to. I also shimmed the front two wheels out an 1/8", I used some 1/16" thick fender washers and just drilled the holes out to fit over the studs. they are 5 x 110 bolt pattern, bolt right on. As far as painting them, you would probably have to have them sand or bead blasted then primer, paint, and clear coat them or check into haveing them powder coated. If you have any other questions, send me a PM and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.
