Saturn Sky/Pontiac Solstic rims?
#41
I just put a set of Solstice wheels on my car. I am running a 225/45 r 18 tire on them. I had to grind a lil bit off of the bracket on the strut that the sway bar linkage bolts to. I also shimmed the front two wheels out an 1/8", I used some 1/16" thick fender washers and just drilled the holes out to fit over the studs. they are 5 x 110 bolt pattern, bolt right on. As far as painting them, you would probably have to have them sand or bead blasted then primer, paint, and clear coat them or check into haveing them powder coated. If you have any other questions, send me a PM and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.
Are they the same ones you're using (or did use)?
I'm not going to do any grinding at his house but could certainly bring a set of washers with me for spacers.
I might even have 40 fender washers in my shop to drill out.
Absolutely necessary if my car's not lowered?
Thanks

I'm also asking if anyone that's using the Solstice wheels is also using the Solstice TPMS.
If so are they calibrated correctly?
I bought a set of Cadillac TPMS that were supposed to work with my HHR and they read 2 PSI low.
example - DIC reads 30 PSI - actually 32 real PSI in the tires.

I'd say yes.
I'll also say I sold the stock tpms w/the stock wheels OUAT.
I bought Eagle GTs for my current wheels (Cobalt SS).
I'm pretty sure that tpms are standard for fitment but not always calibrated the same.
