? on spacers/adapters on an SS

? on spacers/adapters on an SS
I'm looking at getting a set of lightweight rims, but the set that I want don't come in 5x110 bolt pattern. They're 5x114 and I know I'll need a set of adapters/spacers to make them fit. My question is has anyone on here attempted something like this? I know some of the Cobalt guys have used adapters and others have gone as far as switching out their hubs to a 5x114 pattern. What I need to know is what size spacer to use, and where to get them from? I'm NOT going for the "stanced, hellaflush, poke" style so any help or pointers in the right direction would be appreciated. The plan will be for 18"x8" rims with the correct offset and I'm planning on running 245/40/18 tires.

Here's a link to an outfit called Motorsport- Tech who makes a spacer kit that will take you from the 5X110 pattern to a 5X114mm pattern.

The HHR takes a 20mm thick spacer approximately so that thickness needs to be factored into your offset calculations. Figuring the offset calculation can be a bugger at times so check with the wheel vendor you're using and they'll be able to fit you with the proper wheels.
One thing to consider, well actually two things to consider are the added weight of the spacers themselves(you'll negate the weight advantage of super light wheels), and the added complication of using spacers. Wheel and lug nut torque becomes hyper critical when using spacers, you have to check it often and carefully....having a wheel "escape" ruins your day very quickly.

I'm looking at a set of 18" Enkei RPF1's in gold. Well that, or a set of Forgestar F14 or F14F in 18"x8" (QUESTION!! Would a 18" or 19"x8.5 fit on the SS???). Nice thing about the Forgestars is they'll custom drill any bolt pattern you want and do custom powdercoating as well(i.e. no need for spacers- still have to see how much they weigh). Offset is what I need to figure out now though.

Bought mine from them: http://adaptitusa.com/
They're 5x110 to 5x112, and 1 inch thick. They fit my RIAL Nogaro's perfectly. Cost, about $190.00 for 4. Very good quality. I was impressed. Took about a week to deliver.
