Taller Tire

It appears that nobody wants to increase the height of their HHR but I do. I was thinking of ways to do this and one way I guess would be to get a taller tire. Does anyone know what would be the tallest tire that I could put on this without creating problems?

By the way my reason, for a taller tire is that we spend a lot of time in the west and drive some dirt roads. That often has us driving over some small rocks that I can barely get over without damaging the transmission pan.

This is a 26" tall tire. There is not much room left before it would contact the bottom of the strut plate.

a 2" lift kit would be nice. I am in western NY and drive on dirt roads also, and with the snow we get here, I would like a much more agressive tire and some extra height, maybe all wheel drive also, going to be my first winter, we will see how it plays out soon.

I live in Florida and we see alot of snow every year too, but it always on TV weather channel showing us where to stay alway from. (Far From)

throw a 4x4 S-10 frame under yours.. You'll be sitting tall then..

I have a taller tire, but not by much. I had to use a tire I had laying around when I was in a bind for cash. Not noticeable at all.
