Tire Pressure Monitoring FAQ's

Yeah, I'm giving the seller the opportunity to replace with the correct item. But I'm starting to feel like I should just do what Catman said. Buy others from a quality supplier and just return the old ones.
Sidenote- according to their ad, all of the parts numbers interchange and are showing as correct from what we found. Probably just bogus parts.

Just as a side note I bought my from Walmart Online. Best price at the time. Don't deal with Amazon like some people. Walmart or Ebay from a qualified seller (with free shipping and returns). Am I cheap ? No, just like to get the correct part for less money.

The factory valve stem for the SS wheel is metal. I used them when I installed my aftermarkets wheels also.

Is there a way to check/verify the manufacturing date of the sensors? I mean if they had been sitting on a shelf for a couple of years before being sold, then the battery would have already lost quite a bit of its capacity...
In other words: which might be the best places to order new sensors with a high chance of getting really new ones (recent manufacturing date)?

There also might be model year differences. My '08 SS had rubber stems and no issues. 2008 was the first year they were required though, I believe, so they might have improved upon it if there were issues. I don't KNOW that to be the case, but it could explain some of the discussion here.

Not sure what now
Got the new sensors installed. Light is still on and says Service Tire. All four locations show 2 dashes on DIC.
Sensors relearn through the standard learning procedure.
Calibration ID of sensors is accurate information shown in ECM. But DIC is not displaying Tire Pressure now.
WTF
