TPMS for SS wheels

I have an '09 HHR LS, but I will be putting a set of '08 SS wheels on it. I know it has probably been answered a dozen times, but does anyone know which TPMS part # I need for these wheels?

From another thread:

"I hope everyone is not forgetting the need for tire pressure sensors, unless you dont mind driving with the stupid idiot light being on! I found'em on ebay for about $75 a set brand new. Punch in part #25920615 and thats what you'll need."

I got Discount Tires to sell them to me for $48.65 each with my wheel and tire combo. I'm told these are Federally mandated for these cars (like airbags) and illegal to remove . I don't know if that's true or not-according to my chevy dealer .--Bob

Can't you use the original ones from the LS on a different rim? I thought they just screw on?

Yup. I just did it when I changed over to the Cobalt SS/SC wheels from the 16" steel wheels

I've heard the same thing from ALL of the tire dealers I have dealt with. The only way around it is to just have them mount a tire on a wheel, and NOT mount on your car. Also to not be specific about what vehicle they are going on.

I'm gonna use the original's for my winter rims, so I don't want the hassle of swapping them out all the time.

millerrdjr - I found the set of OEM ones on Ebay you were talkin about. I now have a brand new set of 4 on the way, for the price of a single unit from the dealer...thanks everyone!
