lol, If Chevy ever made the Aveo w/ the SS package I would lose all hope in them. I honestly think GM puts out some of the best looking cars compared to most automakers (minus BMW, Benz, exotics) But the Aveo is the ugly duckling of anything w/ the GM badge. Just bad looking

 

I'll keep this on topic by saying that I'm a chrome fan. That having been said, I'll also mention that just today I saw an Aveo and thought it looked like the back end had been rammed by an 18 wheeler. Not GM's best effort, but it hits a price point for them.

 

Z-man, I like the black wheels. Only issue I see is the rusty drums, give them a shot of black paint and they'll dissapear into the wheels.

Really like the wheels. Some folks have mentioned removing the chrome handles etc....just for reference, here's a photoshopped pic. I blacked out the mirror, door handles, wheel centers...lowered it a bit and removed the SS emblem. Again, this is just so I can play around in photoshop and give you a chance to see how changes might look on your HHR...not trying to make it better. Heck I've photshopped mine a million times....most of the time, it's for the worse!

and I agree that painting some of the chrome pieces would make it look better.

 

I am all for the black wheels.

It's different... that's what I want when I spend money on my HHR. If you spent $900 and it looked like it used to then that money was blown in my mind... with the black wheels you know you put some money in and it is different than all the others.

For winter I had black steelies and I kinda miss that look with my stock SS rims back on.

 

Original chrome looks WAY BETTER!!!!!
