Wire Wheels

Has anyone put wire wheels on their HHR?

Would love to see that. Problem is that one wire wheel costs as much as 4 alum wheels. In fact, I got 4 wheels and tires in 17s for less then $1000. Still, ...

they are not cheap. Zenith wheel company is in San Jose where I live and several months ago I looked into it. I think they were around $1,500.00 (don't quote me) He had some that were powder coated and they really look kool. The wheel with the 100 wires really look great. Would wire wheels be classified as old school or not?

That really would look great. It would be neat to put a set of '57 Chev. wire wheel/hubs on, but they were usually 14" or maybe 15". Would require steelees in that size. Would they fit? I'd be going with redlines as well if it could be done. Wouldn't cost much doing it that way.

I think 16" are as small as you can get for the HHR.
